1:1 joins the growing conversations around comparing the spiritual and the digital. Setting the digital world alongside more traditional forms of spirituality, it asks how this new digital spirituality can balance the personal and the communal.
A representation of digital life is translated from a projector through an “RGB” set of mirrors and set behind an arch, appearing in parts on the wall like stained glass. Viewers can play with this translation by moving the mirrors, making this process at once one’s own and shared among everyone. Fed by a light strip organizing the space like a garden and being blown up from disc mirrors to stepping stones, this created digital space calls us to exist within it together.
